THE 2016 EVENT HAS BEEN CANCELLED
The ULTIMATE SNOWY CHALLENGE is designed to bring back cycling to the Snowy Mountains. For many years groups, teams and individuals have known the benefits and great delights of cycling in the mountains. The roads are designed for heavy winter snow traffic so are ideal for cyclists in the non winter months. The roads are in great condition with very little traffic compared to most training areas outside the Snowy's. The event courses go to and through many of the iconic Snowy Mountain locations such as Dead Horse Gap, Thredbo, Charlotte Pass, Perisher Valley, Smiggins Holes and Jindabyne to name a few. The courses are demanding but not extreme and a great achievement to any serious cyclists bucket list. The scenic mountains and lakes just add to the ambience of the wonderful cycling roads.
The Long and short course events will be run on open roads where all riders are to follow NSW road rules. We implore all riders to be courteous on the roads obey all road rules and keep to the left. The conduct of riders will influence the future of this event.
